Sarah Cannon

Sarah has gained experience in all aspects of trade marks and designs, as well as copyright, company names and domain names.  Working in an established team, has allowed Sarah to work for a diverse range of clients in different industries, including manufacturing, publishing and financial services.

Sarah places a particular importance on understanding her clients’ businesses and their IP objectives. Her approachable and personable manner allows her to build a deep understanding of her clients and their industries and to provide them with comprehensive, commercially driven advice.

Sarah has particularly enjoyed working on multi-national filing strategies and is very knowledgeable about the International system (WIPO). She has also worked on a number of mergers and acquisitions and as a result, has completed a number of complex worldwide assignment programmes.

Sarah first gained experience in trade marks as an examiner at the Australian Intellectual Property Office (IP Australia). This provided her with an in-depth understanding of how IP Offices work and this unusual insight allows her clients to benefit in their dealings with the UK and Community Trade Marks Offices.
