Rebecca Silva

Rebecca’s thorough and careful approach enables her to provide clients with considered and insightful advice, which is relevant to their business needs.

Rebecca works alongside Alan Bernard, as well as with Imogen Wiseman and Yasmine Hashim, and represents clients from a wide range of sectors. Her clients in the software and pharmaceutical industries are able to benefit in particular from her in-depth knowledge of the laws and practices specific to these areas. She also advises a number of registered charities which has given her an appreciation of the different commercial considerations relevant to these kinds of businesses and their licensing issues and budgetary constraints.

Rebecca has particular experience in advising on and managing large overseas filing programmes, including International applications. She has also worked on a number of mergers and acquisitions and is able to advise on due diligence exercises. She is  knowledgeable about Olympic legislation and the implications this has for clients and their trade mark use.

In order to deliver tailored and commercially relevant advice, Rebecca makes it a priority to thoroughly understand her clients’ businesses and their commercial goals. She particularly enjoys providing training sessions and other support services so that her clients develop their understanding of the commercial benefits of intellectual property.
