Annabel Hector

Annabel works with clients of all sizes to build and manage patent portfolios which add value to their businesses. Her thorough understanding of her clients’ technologies and her awareness of their business objectives mean that she is able to help them to develop effective patent and design strategies.

Working closely with the other members of the mechanical and electrical team, Annabel particularly enjoys helping her clients obtain and defend commercially relevant patents and oppose those of their competitors.

Annabel sits on the Council of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys and is Chair of the Working Party on Future Policy. Her work with this Committee gives her a valuable insight into the changing landscape of IP law, which she is able to use to the advantage of her clients in her professional work. She also has a particular interest in the Legal Services Act and the creation of the IP Regulatory bodies.
