Iris Software is the UK’s largest private software business supplying business management solutions.

When we first started working with Iris, they had recently acquired a number of companies, many of whom had trade mark registrations. We went through an extensive due diligence exercise, taking responsibility for all registrations we found. Once this exercise was complete, we were able to rationalise the portfolio in the context of Iris' business and its commercial objectives.

The result was a clear and commercially driven trade mark portfolio. The fact that Iris has been able to disregard commercially obsolete marks and receive strategic advice going forward has allowed them to significantly reduce their costs and focus their IP budget on their commercially important marks.
